Port Vale will not be completing the proposed transfer of Craig Pead after the defender decided against the move.

The 26-year-old Brentford full-back was due to move to Vale Park after signing a pre-contract agreement on Tuesday.

Vale's other new signing, defender Sam Stockley, is still expected to complete his two-year deal.

Full-back Stockley, 30, played for Barnet, Oxford United, Colchester United and Blackpool before joining Wycombe Wanderers in 2006.

Sinnott has off-loaded twelve of his playing staff and brought in four new signings.
