Griffiths made 213 appearances for Dagenham & Rebridge
Peterborough full-back Scott Griffiths hopes there will be more stability at the club under Gary Johnson.
The 24-year-old has played under four different managers since arriving on loan from Dagenham in October, a move which was made permanent in January.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Last season I had more managers than I have in six years.
"It's nice to have someone who wants to be here and can settle the camp down and can get the best out of people."
The left-back impressed for Posh, who were relegated from the Championship, but only managed 20 appearances in a campaign stifled by injury.
"It would be really nice if I could secure a first-team place, but I'm not going in with the image in my mind that I will be first choice," he said.
I may sound like I'm buttering him up but with his reputation he'll get players that want to play for him

"I think you have to earn that right despite whether you're first choice or not. If everyone sees it that way we'll push each other harder and we'll have a stronger team for it."
Johnson has been busy so far this summer, bringing in striker Dave Hibbert, midfielders Grant McCann and James Wesolowski and right-back Mark Little, as well as currently being in talks with Shrewsbury defender Kelvin Langmead.
"I don't think the gaffer's going to bring in anything but top quality," Griffiths added.
"I may sound like I'm buttering him up but with his reputation he'll get players that want to play for him and I don't see him getting second-rate players."
Griffiths and midfielders Lee Frecklington and Chris Whelpdale have been at the club's training ground this week in order to work on their fitness, following respective injury concerns at the end of last season.
