Spillane has made 11 appearances for Norwich City this season
Norwich defenders Jens Berthel Askou and Michael Spillane are continuing their comebacks and hope to be in contention for the first team soon.
Both played in the reserves' 1-0 defeat by Ipswich at Carrow Road.
Spillane, who had a hamstring injury, told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It was the hardest time in my football career so far because I'm not normally injured.
"The team is doing well so obviously I've got to be patient and bide my time and wait for my chance."
Askou has been out injured since December with a damaged metatarsal.
He has made 20 league appearances for Norwich City this season and has scored two goals.
The Danish centre-back said: "We have a very strong squad. When people are out with injury or suspension, it's difficult to get back in the team even though you've been playing regularly.
"That's good for the team and for the club. There are plenty of good players to cover when something happens. There are still a lot of games to go and we'll be needing everybody."
