Norwich defender Adam Drury has thanked the club for getting him to Saturday's 1-0 win at Carlisle just hours after the birth of his daughter.
The 31-year-old was able to play at Brunton Park after flying to Cumbria on the same aeroplane as Canaries director Delia Smith.
He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "They were fantastic, for them to do that for me, to get me here to play in the game.
"I'll have to get back now to see my wife and family."
The win over Carlisle lifts City into the play-off places in League One, leading Drury to hail their improvement under new manager Paul Lambert.

"That's where we wanted to be at the start of the season and it's no different now," added Drury.
"The gaffer's come in and set out things how he wants them. At the minute they're going well and we've got to keep that going."
