Former Scotland international Mark McGhee has applied for the vacant manager's job at Motherwell.
Well are taking applications for a new manager after Maurice Malpas resigned at Fir Park last week.
McGhee, who has been out of work since leaving Brighton last September, has thrown his hat into the ring.
"I have let it be known through my representatives that I am interested in the Motherwell job," McGhee told the Glasgow Evening Times.
"I am in Barcelona on holiday at the moment and there hasn't been any official contact from the club.
"Hopefully, though, there will be."
Former Celtic, Aberdeen and Newcastle striker McGhee started his managerial career with Reading followed by a brief one-year stint at Leicester.
McGhee then took over at Wolves in 1995 and spent three years there before joining Millwall and latterly Brighton.
