Macclesfield Town have signed midfielder Richard Butcher on a two-year deal following his release by League Two rivals Lincoln City.
The 29-year-old played eight games for the Silkmen during a loan spell at Moss Rose, towards the end of last season.
Butcher worked with former Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander at Moss Rose and Sincil Bank, where he had three spells.
The former Northampton trainee also played for Notts County, Peterborough, Oldham, Kettering and Rushden.
