Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton was pleased to see David Norris return to league action on Wednesday after six months out due to a heel injury.
The 27-year-old played 74 minutes in the 2-2 draw with Southampton and could face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Magilton told the club website: "[It was] a good run-out. He looked a little rusty, but he gives us other options."
Norris joined in Ipswich in January, but has struggled with injury problems including an operation on his heel.
