Exeter City have said they will not stand in the way of defender Dean Moxey's proposed move to Derby County.
City have confirmed the Rams are in talks to buy Moxey who has been with the club since he was an 11-year-old.
But director of football Steve Perryman says sale of Moxey, 23, would only go ahead if it is right for the Grecians.
Perryman also confirmed that no approaches have been made from Reading for boss Paul Tisdale regarding the Championship club's vacancy.
