Mackie is poised to leave Exeter

It looks increasingly likely that Jamie Mackie will leave the Grecians
Exeter City's top scorer Jamie Mackie looks set to leave the Blue Square Premier club after being left out of the side that beat Oxford on Sunday.

The striker, who has scored 13 goals this season, has attracted the interest of Exeter's Devon rivals Plymouth, who have had two bids turned down.

"We are looking at bids from clubs," Grecians manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon.

"Of course we'd like to keep him but clubs are coming in for him."

Plymouth have had two bids, believed to be £80,000 and £100,000, turned down for the striker.

With Argyle manager Paul Sturrock still searching for another frontman Mackie could fit the bill.

But Tisdale says he will not let Mackie go unless the deal suits the Grecians.

"It's not just about Jamie, us, or the team who are looking to take him. All three parties have to be in agreement and until that point occurs Jamie will stay with us," Tisdale added.
