Derby County striker Rob Hulse says the Rams can look forward to next season despite a disappointing first year back in the Championship.
Hulse, who picked up the players' player of the year award this week, scored 18 goals last season but admits it was a poor season overall.
He told BBC Radio Derby: "There was a sinking feeling when you walked in here but we've stopped that now."
Meanwhile Derby have appointed John Perkins to their academy staff.
Hulse, a £1.75m signing from Sheffield United, was also the fans' choice as player of the year.

"I can say that I have proved to everybody that I'm back because there were a few doubters when I broke my leg," he said.
Rams manager Nigel Clough has also been impressed with his leading scorer: "The level of consistency in his performances has been tremendous."
