Neil Warnock is staying positive about Crystal Palace's financial problems
Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock was full of praise for his unpaid players after Tuesday night's 4-2 win over Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
"I'm proud of the whole club," Warnock told BBC London 94.9. "Yes, we do have problems, but when the team plays like that, it makes me a very proud man.
"We haven't been paid yet but we'll get there. I'm sure it will be on its way."
Players were told after the win over Watford on 28 November that chairman Simon Jordan had 'cash flow' problems.
But Warnock remains insistent that there is no long-term worry.
"The wife's been bugging me a bit about Christmas presents," he said. "But the chairman's pumped millions in over the years, so he deserves people giving him a bit of time now."
If the situation does not improve then it leaves the club at risk of losing players in January - and Palace may yet be forced to cash in on Tuesday's two-goal teenage hero Victor Moses.
"You don't get 18-year-old British players like that very often," added Warnock. "He will go for sure.
"I don't understand why people didn't come in during the summer.
"He's a player just waiting to explode.
"Everybody is looking at him now. They pay £17m for players like that in the Premier League.
"You could tell that Victor was on his game and he has been since I bought him back into the team.
"I was going to leave him out at Sheffield United on Saturday but I'll have to think about that now."
