Lambert was forced to reorganise his defence on three occasions against Peterborough
Colchester manager Paul Lambert has praised his side's resilience after they lost three players to injury in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Peterborough.
Defenders John White, Matt Heath and Lee Hills all had to be substituted.
Lambert told BBC Essex: "Losing three out of your back four is unheard of, absolutely unheard of, but the lads who came in were brilliant.
"The great thing was we never capitulated when we were up against it," he added.
Lambert also said he felt it was unlikely any of the players who were forced off at the weekend would be ready for inclusion in the side to face Yeovil on Tuesday night.
The defeat leaves the Essex side lying 21st in the League One table.
