Craig Armstrong has agreed a new one-year contract at Cheltenham Town.
The 33-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, returned to Whaddon Road last season after a brief spell at Gillingham.
Assistant manager Bob Bloomer said: "His return to the club certainly enhanced the squad and he played a big part in helping us stay in League One.
"Craig has also proved very valuable to us in imparting his experience to younger players."
