Carlisle striker Scott Dobie is delighted to be back playing regular football following his January move from Nottingham Forest.

The 29-year-old is yet to figure in his regular forward position for boss John Ward but says he is just happy to be involved in the game.

He told BBC Radio Cumbria: "As long as I'm playing I'm really not bothered.

"After the last two or three years of not playing I'm just glad to be on the pitch."

Workington-born Dobie is enjoying the games but feels the return will not be complete until he breaks his goal drought.

It's just giving what I can every game and a goal will help with my confidence

"It's just giving what I can every game and a goal will help with my confidence," he said.

"That will come with games, the two or three years I've had with injuries you do question your ability."

The move means more to Dobie than just resuming his football career as it also marks a return to his roots.

He said: "I'm 29 but I'm coming home and settling down.

"Me and my wife have just had a little girl so it will be nice to bring her up as a Cumbrian."
