Hall is confident that Cardiff will win their court case
|
Ex-Wales rugby captain Mike Hall has resigned from the Cardiff board ahead of the club's forthcoming legal battle.
Cardiff are due in court on 21 November in a dispute with financial backers Langston over £24m of loan notes.
Should the Bluebirds lose, Hall would face a conflict of interest as he is also a director of PMG Associates, another of the club's major creditors.
"It's disappointing, but I had to resign on legal advice," Hall told BBC Sport Wales.

"We're very confident of winning the case, but we have to have a back-up plan - that's good corporate management."
Hall's departure leaves Steve Borley, Alan Whiteley and chairman Peter Ridsdale as Cardiff's surviving directors.
