Bradford City midfielder Chris Branson is facing a longer spell on the sidelines after scans revealed an injury to his foot.
The former Huddersfield Town player has been out with a series of knee injuries since signing in the summer.
Manager Stuart McCall told BBC Radio Leeds: "He's wrenched his ligaments a little bit so it's not great news.
"Hopefully, depending how quickly he heals, we're maybe looking at two or three weeks which is disappointing."
"I keep telling him it's a long season and hopefully he'll be alright," McCall added.
Full back Paul Arnison is also out for a few weeks with a calf muscle injury sustained during the weekend home defeat by Bournemouth.
