Watford recorded a comfortable win over 10-man Gillingham in the first round of the Carling Cup.
The Hornets punished Gillingham after Richard Lee saved a Gary Mulligan penalty following Tamas Priskin's foul on Mark Bentley.
Priskin headed in Douglas Rinaldi's cross for the opener, before the supplier scored a 20-yard free-kick.
Alex Campana nodded in the third shortly after Efe Sodje was sent off for elbowing Rinaldi late on.
