Kidderminster 2-0 Curzon Ashton

Curzon Ashton's eight-game FA Cup run came to an end with defeat at Blue Square Premier Kidderminster.

The UniBond Division One North outift were down to 10 men after 30 minutes when keeper David Carnell was sent off for bringing down Stefan Moore.

Former Aston Villa striker Moore then prodded Harriers ahead after Keith Lowe's cross caused confusion.

Mark Creighton booked Harriers' third round berth, towering above stand-in keeper Denis Barlow to head home.

Harriers remain most renowned for their famous Cup exploits of 1994 when they reached the fifth round as a non-league club.

But they have not been to the third round since 2004 when they came very close to a Premier League scalp by so nearly humbling neighbours Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Just when John Williams' 77th minute opener looked to have won it, Alex Rae's last-minute equaliser took the tie back to Molineux, where two goals from Kenny Miller completed the job for Wolves.

Kidderminster assistant manager Neil Howarth told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"We did what we had to do and, while it was never going to be easy, it was a job well done.

"It doesn't matter how dominant you are, at 1-0 anything can happen - even against 10 men.

"We did need that second goal and, when we got it, the nerves went."
