Darlington's Danny Carlton scored the only goal to help the visitors to victory over Lincoln.
Carlton put the Quakers in the lead in the seventh minute when he charged into the area and looped in a header from Rob Purdie's cross.
Purdie also hit the post himself while Carlton missed an open goal before the end of the half after keeper Rob Burch had pushed away Tim Ryan's shot.
Ben Wright hit the post for Lincoln deep into injury time.
