Jamie Forrester's second-half penalty earned Notts County a deserved draw against promotion rivals Brentford.
Glenn Poole opened the scoring for Brentford when he fired them ahead with a fine left-foot shot after Charlie MacDonald had pulled the ball back.
But Poole then handled a cross from Adam Tamm and Forrester sent Ben Hamer the wrong way from the spot.
Jamie Clapham hit the post and Hamer made spectacular saves to deny Matt Hamshaw and Delroy Facey.
