Hartlepool 3-0 Southend

Kevin Kyle's double and a Matty Robson goal secured victory for managerless Hartlepool over 10-man Southend.

Hartlepool opened the scoring after five minutes when Kyle curled the ball home into the top corner from 15 yards.

The hosts doubled their lead before the break when Robson found the net from 30-yards from wide on the left.

On the hour Southend skipper Adam Barrett was given his marching orders for a professional foul with Kyle tapping home a third goal soon after.
