Liam Dickinson scored a second-half brace to secure victory for Blackpool and ease their relegation fears.
Charlton started strongly with Andy Gray and Deon Burton forcing Paul Rachubka into fine stops, while Dickinson went close for the hosts.
After the break, Dickinson broke the deadlock when he headed home a cross from Lee Hendrie.
And the striker sealed the win when he swept in the rebound after his shot had been saved by keeper Nicky Weaver.
Blackpool manager Simon Grayson:
"Back-to-back wins are so important in this division, it's so close that they can get you further up the table quite quickly.
"I knew if we kept working hard and playing decent football we would get up the table.
"The goal lifted our confidence and the belief started to return and we went on to finish quite comfortable winners."
Charlton caretaker manager Phil Parkinson:
"I can't dress it up, we got beaten today by the better side.
"The first half was OK but when Blackpool started to play and get Liam Dickinson involved he caused us more problems as the game went on.
"They started [the second half] sharper and when they scored you could see it gave them a massive lift. We didn't respond as well as I would have liked."
