Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law admits mistakes cost his side in their Blue Square North semi-final first leg defeat at Telford.
Second half-goals goals from Emeka Nwadike and Danny Carey-Bertram mean Alfreton must fight back from 2-0 down.
Law told BBC Radio Derby: "At any level of football you can't make mistakes and we've given a poor first goal away.
"We haven't played well, we haven't got the ball down and passed it. But we must dust ourselves down and go again."
The second leg will be played at The Impact Arena on Sunday at 1500 BST.

Law said: "It's only half-time, we go again on Sunday and it will be a different game if we get the first goal."
Alfreton finished the season just above the Bucks in third place.
