Dover Athletic have won promotion and the Ryman Premier Division title with a 6-0 win over Sutton United on Saturday.
The win alone would not have been enough to give Athletic the title, but second placed Staines could only draw 1-1 with Hastings.
It is the second time in as many seasons that Dover have won promotion.
Manager Andy Hessenthaler told BBC Radio Kent: "The effort has been phenomenal, people can see something's happening at Dover."
For most of the afternoon it looked as if Dover would have to wait another week to win promotion, but when Staines conceded an equaliser at Hastings with five minutes to go, Athletic were heading for the Blue Square South.
"It's great to win two promotions in two years but it was fantastic to do it in front of our own fans with a championship performance," said Dover chairman Jim Parmenter.
"It was probably the best performance I've ever seen from a Dover side, I can't tell you how pleased I was with that performance on the pitch."

Parmenter also said that despite the margin of victory, it was still a tense afternoon.
"I was by the tunnel and when I saw the crowd cheering for no apparent reason I knew Hastings must have scored an equaliser," said Parmenter.
"Up until that point I wasn't sure we were going to do it today."
Dover captain for the day Alan Pouton added: "We've been fantastic all season, it's thoroughly deserved and no one can take it away from us.

Athletic fell five days short of becoming the first team in the country to win their league this season.
On Tuesday night Scarborough Athletic were crowned champions of Northern Counties East League Division One.
