Kallis supplemented his 200 with three catches later in the day

Tour match, Derby, day three: South Africa 460-7 dec. drew with Derbyshire 136-4 dec.
Jacques Kallis scored the first double hundred of his first-class career as South Africa tuned up for the fifth Test in style.
A washed-out first day precluded the likelihood of a result in this three-day fixture.
But a draw at Derby will not matter a jot to the tourists, who were thrilled with the form of Kallis and Charl Willoughby, who claimed three wickets.
Kallis, 141 overnight, made exactly 200 before falling to Nathan Dumelow, eclipsing the unbeaten 189 he made against Zimbabwe in 2001.
The all-rounder, who struck 27 fours and one six, was the first of two batsmen to fall before the declaration came.
The second, keeper Thami Tsolekile, fell to Dumelow 10 runs short of his maiden first-class century. The 22-year-old had shared in a 169-run stand with Kallis.
Willoughby staked a solid claim for inclusion at The Oval with an opening spell that ousted three batsmen.
The left-armer, who has not featured since the first Test, removed Andrew Gait for two courtesy of a Neil McKenzie catch.
Derbyshire sought to recover but it was short-lived, and 55-1 soon became 63-3 when Rawait Khan and Chris Bassano fell to Kallis catches.
Kallis capped a memorable day when snaffling Steve Stubbings off Dewald Pretorius, and home skipper Luke Sutton was not concerned at being four short of fifty when he declared shortly after 1700BST.
The fifth and final Test starts on Thursday at The Oval.
