Naved to complete Yorkshire deal

Rana Naved-ul-Hasan is set to return to England on Friday after being granted a work permit allowing him to complete his two-year contract with Yorkshire.

Uncertainly over the Pakistani fast bowler's arrival date led to the county threatening to terminate his deal.

But director of professional cricket Martyn Moxon said he was happy the 30-year-old's situation had been resolved.

"Rana has been playing first-class cricket back home and we expect him to be fully fit," he said.

Naved could now feature in Sunday's FP Trophy clash with Gloucestershire at Headingley.

His arrival will help Yorkshire cover the absence of Tim Bresnan following his surprise call-up to the England Test squad.
