Dinesh Chandimal's century helped Sri Lanka to a six-wicket win over India in the triangular one-day series, putting India out of the series. Having set Sri Lanka 269 to win in Harare, India needed to restrict their opponents to 214 to earn a bonus point which might put them in the final. But as with every game in the tournament so far, the side batting second won the match. Chadimal's 111 made the difference as Sri Lanka won with 10 balls to spare. Afterwards, India captain Suresh Raina admitted his side "did not look good in the entire tournament", and said losing the toss had proved decisive.

"I am not happy at all. Full credit goes to Sri Lanka. They batted really well," he said. "We still got nearly 270, but we didn't bowl well, especially with the new ball. "The toss matters. If you look at the surface, it gets better as the game goes on. And as we have seen, whoever has batted second has always won the game. "But it doesn't make a difference if you are batting or bowling, you still have to play with positive intensity no matter what."
