Town's victory in the Standard Bank Premiership stemmed from a mammoth stand of 206 between Gareth Morris and Christian Steriopulos. The pair put on 206 for the second wicket with Morris hitting 137 and Steriopulos making 75. The southerners ended on 287-9 and had reduced Ramsey to 127-7 when the rain came. Elsewhere, St John's moved joint top after beating Cronkbourne and Loaghtyn got the better of Crosby. All the Standard Bank Premiership matches were cut short by a torrential downpour and were decided on run-rate.
