Rahul Dravid elects to bat after winning his fourth consecutive toss as India look to level the one-day series against England
But the tourists lose Sourav Ganguly early on when he mis-times a pull shot off James Anderson to Ian Bell at mid-wicket
Dinesh Karthik hits just one scoring shot in 22 deliveries before he is caught by Matt Prior off Stuart Broad for four
And when Andrew Flintoff has Dravid caught in similar fashion by Prior for one in his first over, India are struggling on 33-3
But Sachin Tendulkar steadies the innings with his 81st ODI half century as he and Yuvraj Singh take India past 100-3
The Little Master falls for 55 though, top edging part-time bowler Kevin Pietersen to Flintoff on the square leg boundary
Monty Panesar then bowls Mahendra Singh Dhoni for 13 with a delivery that pitches on leg and hits off and India are 140-5
Prior takes his third catch of the match to dimiss Ajit Agarkar for six as Broad picks up his second wicket an over later
Yuvraj launches Broad over the ropes to bring up his half century but the tourists are only 164-6 after 41 overs
Broad then bowls Yuvraj round his legs and has Ramesh Powar caught by Bell for seven to finish with a career-best 4-51
Anderson has Zaheer Khan and RP Singh caught off successive balls in the final over as India are all out for 212
England's reply gets off to a dismal start when Zaheer arrows one through Alistair Cook's defence in the first over
And Prior cuts Agarkar to Powar at third man before Bell leaves one that hits off stump and England are 35-3
Pietersen adds 18 but goes for one pull shot too many - Piyush Chawla takes the catch and Agarkar has three wickets
Agarkar then has Flintoff caught at backward point by Yuvraj and what looked an easy chase is far from it at 95-5
Owais Shah is caught by Karthik off Powar at forward short leg and when Paul Collingwood is run out, England are 114-7
But any thoughts of an early finish are dashed by Ravi Bopara and Broad who steady the innings to take England past 150-7
The duo then set a record eighth-wicket partnership for England in ODIs as they edge their side closer to victory
And fittingly, man-of-the-match Broad hits the winning run as England triumph by three wickets and take a 3-1 series lead
