Campbell looked short of his best at the MCG

England's Darren Campbell was thrown out of the Commonwealth Games 200m after running out of his lane.
Team-mate Chris Lambert withdrew from the competition after suffering a groin injury but Marlon Devonish did make the semis in a time of 20.76 seconds.
England's Martyn Rooney was fifth in the 400m final but team-mate Chris Tomlinson was only sixth in the long jump with Greg Rutherford eighth.
And Northern Ireland's James McIlroy did not qualify for the 800m final.
Campbell, running in lane eight, stepped out of his lane on the bend on his way to finishing fourth.
Only the first three qualified but Campbell had been hoping to go through as a fastest loser.
The English team initially appealed against the disqualification but withdrew their protest after seeing the video evidence.
Rooney ran 45.51 seconds with Australian John Steffenson taking gold in a time of 44.73 seconds.
The 18-year-old from Croydon, competing in his first major championships, was delighted with his week's work.
"I was a late call-up so to run this well, I'm really happy," he said.
In the men's 400m hurdles, defending champion Chris Rawlinson went through to the final in a season's best time.
Rawlinson clocked 49.21, and then revealed that the final will be his final race over the hurdles.
"I'm happy to be through to the final," said the 33-year-old.

I didn't think I'd make the Games, let alone the final

"I had a bit of a disastrous preparation period, I didn't think I'd make the Games, let alone the final.
"It's great, I'm going to go on the track as defending champion and give 110%. I fancy my chances of a medal.
"It's going to be my last race in the 400m hurdles so I'm going to give it my best shot."
Jamaica's Kemel Thompson, Rawlinson's training partner, was the quickest of the qualifiers, with a time of 48.71.
Wales' Rhys Williams also advanced setting a second personal best (49.17) in two days, but Matt Elias and Matthew Douglas both missed out.
