Maccarinelli after his ninth-round knockout at the hands of Ola Afolabi
An "embarrassed" Enzo Maccarinelli says he is planning a rematch with Ola Afolabi after Saturday's shock defeat. "As soon as the fight finished I asked him about the rematch straight away," he said of his nine-round loss. "With the David Haye [loss last year] there was always a chance one of us would get caught cleanly. I can come to terms with that. "This one I can't because if we boxed a million times he'd only beat me that once. I'm embarrassed with my display."

Afolabi, 28, has a record of 14 wins, one defeat and three draws, all of his previous fights having been in the US, where he is based. Maccarinelli, 28, held the WBO belt from 2006, but lost it when he was knocked out by David Haye in two rounds last March. The Swansea fighter - who has a record of 29 wins (22 knock-outs) and three defeats - is desperate to become the first Welshman to reclaim a world title. "[Afolabi] agreed [to a rematch], whether it happens is a different thing," said Maccarinelli of his MEN Arena defeat. "That is the only thing that's going to make my head feel right at the moment."
