Pavey finished 12th in the 10,000m final at the Beijing Olympics

Jo Pavey has withdrawn from the 2009 London Marathon after revealing she is pregnant and expecting her first child at the end of September. April's race would have been the Commonwealth 5,000m silver medallist's debut over the marathon distance. Pavey, 35, will also miss the World Championships in August where she was planning to contest the 10,000m. She said: "I'll continue running as long as I can but races are out of the question until after the baby is born."
