King lasted just 19 minutes of the Magners League defeat to Leinster

Scarlets centre Regan King is out for around two months after tearing his hamstring. The star Kiwi three-quarter, 28, went off after 19 minutes of the Llanelli-based region's 17-31 defeat to Leinster on Saturday. "We're disappointed because he has a great influence on the team," said team manager Garan Evans. "But We're confident we have strong cover in Jonathan Davies and Gavin Evans." The pair are the only fit centres in the squad, but Dafydd James is close to a return, having been out with a neck injury since the first week of the season. Rob Higgitt (broken ankle) is also close to a comeback, although he is not expected to make the Edinburgh game a week on Sunday. The Scarlets are hoping King could be back in time for the Ospreys visit to Parc Y Scarlets in mid-April.
