Kovalainen is currently eighth in the drivers' standings

Heikki Kovalainen admits he is not sure whether he has done enough to clinch a new contract with Renault for 2008.
The Finnish rookie was promoted from test driver when double world champion Fernando Alonso left for McLaren.
He struggled at first but has steadily improved and now trails experienced team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella by just one point in the drivers' standings.
"I certainly hope I can be with Renault next year, but at the moment, I honestly don't know," said Kovalainen.
"I believe we can achieve good results in the future, but (team boss) Flavio (Briatore) has said he has not made a decision," added the 25 year-old.
"It will be made around the weekend of the Italian Grand Prix (at Monza on 9 September)."
Italy's Fisichella has also yet to be given any indication that he will retain his seat, with speculation that current test driver Nelson Piquet Jnr could be promoted.
