Huddersfield Town are set to complete the signing of former Blackpool midfielder Michael Flynn on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old, who was released at Bloomfield Road in the summer, has agreed a two-year-deal and will undergo a medical at the club.
Flynn played under Town manager Stan Ternent at Gillingham, where he was their top scorer in the 2006-07 season.
"He's a player that I've tracked and he's been on my hit-list," Ternent told the club's official website.
"He is an attacking midfielder with Championship experience and a proven record at getting goals from midfield," he added.
"I signed him from Wigan when I was at Gillingham and I know he will make the squad stronger and add more competition for places."
