Walsh improved on his sixth place in the opening World Cup event
Britain's Campbell Walsh won gold in the kayak single at the slalom World Cup event in Bratislava.
Walsh, who is from Glasgow but trains in Nottingham, was sixth in the first of the three-event World Cup series.
But the 31-year-old took top spot in the second, edging out Italy's Daniele Molmenti by 1.55 seconds.
"I've raced on that course before and I knew I had the experience which could give me an edge over others," Walsh said afterwards.
"The run went to plan, I neatened it up, took a tighter line and didn't lose much time as a result."
David Florence, who claimed two bronze medals in the World Cup opener at Pau, finished 10th in the canoe single and failed to reach the doubles final.
Tim Baillie and Etienne Stott were fifth in the C2 final, after Florence and partner Richard Hounslow finished 0.2 seconds outside qualifying for the last 10.
