Devonish finished seventh in the 200m semi final in Beijing
British sprinter Marlon Devonish has signed up to face double world record holder Usain Bolt in a 150m street race in Manchester next month.
Devonish, an Olympic sprint relay gold medallist in 2004, has good recent form, having won a 100m in Miami in 10.11 secs last Sunday.
Simeon Williamson will also be in action against Bolt on 17 May.
But another Briton, Mark Lewis-Francis has been forced to withdraw from the event because of injury.
The race, which will be Bolt's first in Europe before this summer's World Championships will be shown on BBC television.
And Devonish, whose best 100m and 200m marks are 10.06sec and 20.19sec, will face a huge task trying to outpace the Jamaican.

He faced Bolt in the 200m semi-final at the Beijing Olympics and could only finish seventh in 20.57 seconds.
Bolt won gold in the men's 100m and 200m at the Beijing Olympic Games in world record times and also triumphed in the 4x100 relay.
The Manchester event will start at about 1600 BST, with the final taking place around 1800 BST and televised live as part of the BBC's Great Manchester Run highlights show on BBC Two.
Earlier in the day, marathon world record-holder Haile Gebrselassie, 35, will hope to triumph in the Great Manchester Run, an event which he won in 2005 in a then-record time of 27 minutes 25 seconds.
The 10k race, which starts at 1000 BST, has attracted a record field of 33,000 runners.
