The Scarlets are awaiting injury news on Nic Reynolds and Ceiron Thomas after their defeat in this friendly on Thursday night at Rodney Parade.
Centre Reynolds limped off in the first-half and utility back Thomas' ribs were in discomfort at the end.
Tries from Wayne Evans, Hoani MacDonald and Huw Gustafson, to which Daniel Evans replied, helped the hosts lead 17-7 at the break.
The visitors battled into the lead through Ceiron Thomas and Evans.
But tries from Tal Selley and Lewis Evans, to which Shaun Connor added the conversions, put Paul Turner's side back in front.
Connor's late penalty sealed victory for the hosts.
