Sale Sharks winger Mark Cueto has stressed the need for successive wins as they prepare to host Heineken Cup champions Munster on Sunday.
Sharks are looking for their second tournament victory after the 32-15 win at Clermont Auvergne last weekend.
The England international told BBC Radio Manchester: "We need to show more consistency this time out.
"Last year was we didn't put back-to-back performances together which is something we need to do now."
He added: "Our inconsistency cost us massively last year.
"We went away to Leicester and beat them, one of the hardest places to play in the Premiership then the following week we got beat at home by Worcester.
"You just can't afford to do that in the Premiership, let alone in the Heineken Cup.
"So although last week's win was a massive day for the club, we've got to back it up this weekend or it means nothing."
