Two Cornish Pirates players are preparing to play in this month's Churchill Cup in Canada and the USA.

Winger Brian Tuohy has been called into the Ireland A team for the games against the USA and England Saxons.

Scrum-half Ed Fairhurst will play for the hosts against Scotland A and Argentina's teams.

"It's a notable reflection on the club and spreads the name of the Cornish Pirates even further throughout the world of rugby," said CEO Ron Coward.

The 2008 Churchill Cup takes place in Kingston, Ottawa, Toronto and Chicago and features Argentina, Canada, England Saxons, Ireland A, Scotland A and the USA.
