Britain's Kristan Bromley and Amy Williams have both made fine starts to their World Cup bob skeleton seasons.
Bromley secured second place behind Canada's Paul Boehm in the first round of the men's competition in Calgary.
Canada's Jon Montgomery was third, and GB's Adam Pengilly and Anthony Sawyer came fourth and 12th respectivey.
Williams, 25, the 2006 British champion, took third at the same venue behind Canadians Michelle Kelly and Mellisa Hollingsworth.
