Ian Lougher stands to make a piece of Isle of Man TT history on Saturday by becoming the first man to start 100 TT races in the event's 102-year history.
Since making his debut in 1984 the vastly experienced Welshman has become the most prolific racer ever on the famous Mountain course.
In 25 years the 45-year-old has made 26 TT podiums and won eight solo titles.
Lougher told BBC Isle of Man: "To be the first man to 100 TT races is an achievement I am very pleased with."
He added: "It's a lot of races and a lot of miles and I'm delighted to still be competitive.
"I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's (Saturday) race."
