Guernsey's island men's golf championships are set to be the closest ever, according to the President of the Guernsey Golf Union.
Alan Mahy said the standard of the players this year was the highest ever.
"When you look at the seeds, for the first time in the history of the championship all the seeds are one handicap or lower," Mahy said.
"It is quite some effort being put in by the players to get their handicaps that low," he added on BBC Guernsey.
The tournament begins on Monday with the final on Sunday 25 May.
