Garcia/Olazabal v Toms/Wetterich (Europe won 3&2)
Garcia's birdie on the 15th established a three-shot lead

Spanish duo Sergio Garcia and Jose Maria Olazabal earned Europe's first Ryder Cup point by beating America's David Toms and Brett Wetterich 3&2.
The Europeans never lost the lead after Garcia birdied the first hole, with Olazabal adding another on the ninth.
Wetterich struck back on the 10th but the European pair went two ahead when the Americans both found water on 13.
And Garcia's excellent approach for birdie on the 15th effectively sealed the match.
Garcia produced some stunning shots from the off and kept the American team at arm's length with some great saves on the front nine.
Olazabal helped out with two birdies but it was clear who was playing the leading role.

"There was one secret today and that was Sergio," said Olazabal
"He was just awesome. He has all the tools and the way he played today, the game of golf looks easy."
Europe captain Ian Woosnam said the performance reminded him of Olazabal's old partnership with Spanish great Seve Ballesteros.
"Sergio and Olazabal were like Seve and Olazabal of old," he said.
