Joe Ledley has only a year left on his Cardiff City contract
Manager Tony Pulis says Stoke City "will take another look" at Cardiff City captain Joe Ledley this summer.
The Welsh club rejected a reported £6m bid for their 22-year-old Wales star last August from the Potters.
"We came in and made an offer and we thought it was a great offer for Joe to be honest," Pulis said.
"But we will take another look at it and if it feels right for us then I will be speaking to [Cardiff boss] Dave Jones about it before anyone else."
Cardiff also rejected bids for a number of their players, understood to include Ledley, during the January transfer window.
Ledley could leave Cardiff on a free next summer so that leaves Cardiff with little option but to sell their captain rather than risk losing Ledley, who has won 27 Wales caps, in a year's time for a pittance.
But the south Wales club - who narrowly missed out on the Championship play-offs this season and move to a new £38m stadium next term - have always said any of their players are for sale if their valuation is met.
Stoke have secured their place in the Premier League for another season.
And with Pulis a long-time admirer of his fellow Welshman, there is every indication that Stoke will again try to tempt Ledley away with a big offer.
"If I am going to do any business with Cardiff this summer I will be doing it with Dave [Jones] and [Cardiff chairman] Peter Ridsdale. I won't be doing things through the newspapers," Pulis added.
Ledley is also believed to be a target for Everton and newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers.
