St Helens front rower Agnatius Paasi has signed a new one-year contract to remain with the Super League club for 2026.

The 33-year-old joined Saints from National Rugby League (NRL) side New Zealand Warriors before the 2021 season and has since made 108 appearances.

During his time with the club, Tonga international Paasi has won two Super League Grand Finals, the Challenge Cup and the World Club Challenge.

"I'm excited for another year with Saints, this club has given me a lot, and I really appreciate it," he told the club website., external

"I'm buzzing and I'm going to give everything I've got to try to win more silverware - we always want more here, so hopefully this next year is a big one."

Paasi, who joins Jake Burns, Curtis Sironen, Matt Whitley, Daryl Clark and Jake Wingfield in committing his future to the club following the conclusion of the 2025 campaign, had an injury-hit season in 2023.

However, he made 27 appearances for Saints last season, his most in a campaign since 2022.

"I can't fault the club at all," he added. "The physios, trainers, and all the staff really helped me get back on the field and held me accountable. I'm grateful for that.

"I'm challenging myself to get back to the level I was at in my first two years here, and help the team out as best I can."
