Vape shops and massage parlours raided

Available for over a year

Across Shropshire police have been targeting businesses suspected of money laundering, using illegal workers and selling illicit goods as part of a national operation. Chinese takeaways, vape shops and massage parlours are among businesses raided with bank accounts containing more than £250,000 frozen and nearly £12,000 in cash seized. Detective Sergeant Rachel O'Brian from West Mercia Police's Economic Crime Unit told BBC Radio Shropshire's Adam Green that this sort of crime is rife.
