Fanny Blankers-Koen made history at the London Olympic Games of 1948 by winning four gold medals.

This remarkable sportswoman, who was voted Woman Athlete of the Twentieth Century, died on Sunday at the age of 85. Woman's Hour pays tribute to her achievements.
