Her father was one of the founders of the bossa nova and her stepmother was the original girl from Ipanema.

Her first performance took place when she was just nine years old playing alongside Stan Getz in the Carnegie Hall and her album is said to be one of Bill Clinton's favourites.
Bebel Gilberto will be speaking to Jenni about her remarkable musical career and will sing Samba E Amor, live in the studio, accompanied on guitar by Masa Shimizur> CD: Tanto Tempo Special Remix Edition, Bebel Gilberto: East West 5050466-4734-2-4
