  Odaline de la Martinez Tuesday 1 October 2002  
International conductor and composer Odaline de la Martinez picks up the baton again this month for a series of concerts devoted to the subject of émigré composers.

The Cuban born UK based conductor has organised three concerts to illustrate the impact of émigrés on our cultural diversity.
The music, to be played by her own orchestra Lontano, will feature seven world premieres and marks her 30 years as a resident in Britain.
Odaline de la Martinez joins Jenni to talk about her latest work.
Tour Details: 30th September: The Purcell Room, South Bank - To the Antiopdes and Back 17th October: The Warehouse, The Melting Pot - USA, Japan & Latin America 31st October: St Giles Cripplegate, BBC Invitation Concert only - China & Latin America
